GLS was created as a solution to address multiple challenges. Students at Arizona State University (ASU) needed a way to apply the sustainability knowledge they were acquiring at ASU, and organizations needed a cost-effective way to start embracing sustainability. By working with GLS you have the opportunity to collaborate with a cutting edge team of professionals and students eager to create solutions from inception to implementation to help you solve your unique sustainability challenges. GLS has access to a pool of experts that includes both practitioners and academics who have been immersed in the science of sustainability since it was embedded in ASU. GLS also has access to a vast collection of resources and reports through the ASU Library. To solve sustainability challenges, GLS has collaborated with other consultancies, both domestic and international. ASU's Global Institute of Sustainability (GIOS) houses some of the best and brightest people in the field. GLS is guided by its advisory board, led by Rajesh Buch and Michael Schoon, also currentlly including : George Basile, Jim Hershauer, and Sada Gilbert. Rajesh Buch, GLS' Projects Advisor, is the current Practice Lead at the Sustainability Solutions Extension Service, the consulting arm of GIOS. Michael Schoon, our Leadership Team Advisor is a tenure track faculty at the School of Sustainability.
