FOR Energy is a solar panel installation company that prioritizes sustainability and helping Arizona residents maximize the energy efficiency of their homes. After our initial discussion with FOR, it became apparent that they desired a shift in their social media strategy. More specifically, they felt that the absence of a consistent social media post aesthetic and post schedule hurt their online image.
Now, with a clear goal to assist FOR grow its presence on social media and in the community, we got to work. We created a list of local farmers’ markets and sustainability-minded companies for the project partner to connect with. Met up with the FOR team for a photoshoot to create new content for their social media. Lastly, we made a social media content calendar. Which provided what to post and when for the upcoming year. These deliverables should help FOR increase their social media presence, engage viewers and boost brand recognition and sustainability awareness.
The Sustainable Development Goals that our project helps to address are Goal 7, Affordable and Clean Energy, and Goal 11, Sustainable Cities and Communities. Specifically, Target 7.1 works to ensure universal access to affordable, reliable, and modern energy services, and Target 7.2, which works to increase the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix. Our project also addresses Target 11.6, which aims to reduce cities’ adverse per capita environmental impact. By increasing FOR’s audience and engagement on social media, we are helping to raise awareness of the company and its services and ultimately increase energy efficiency and renewable energy.
The Solutioneers got to learn all about the benefits of solar. We had a lot of fun tapping into our creative side by making content for their social media. We thank our project partners for allowing us to be a part of the FOR family and can’t wait to see what they have in store for the future.
