GreenLight Solutions at Red Bull Showrun Phoenix: New Sustainability Heights

GreenLight Solutions, for the first time ever, spearheaded sustainability efforts at the Red Bull Showrun this year in Phoenix. This was a giant race of many cars, attended by thousands of people, and GreenLight Solutions was there to make a deep impact.​

Accomplishments

We avoided 0.93 tons of CO2, along with recycling over 635 pounds of material, saving lots of waste at the event.

We also had a diversion rate of 22%, which, for an event as overwhelmingly large as Red Bull, is extremely high. On the left is a picture of the large amount of plastic that we diverted at this event, largely due to our amazing volunteers and staff. 

Our Goal ​

As we reiterate in every blog, the goal of GreenLight Solutions is to always follow the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals #12, which focuses on Responsible Consumption and Production. With community and commitment, we can achieve this goal, as seen in the intense amount of progress we made with this event

Community Showing Up

The volunteering effort showed the power of community involvement, with many people who showed up to make a difference. We are so grateful to everyone for being selfless enough to help out and contribute to making the Earth a greener place. ​
