GLS Five Year Vision
Here at GreenLight Solutions, we carry a passion for sustainability: helping human civilization to survive and thrive in
the 21st century and beyond. Accomplishing our vision and mission will do just that. GreenLight Solutions educates and empowers the next generation of sustainability leaders. We help students launch their sustainability careers and businesses go green. Our purpose is to break down the barriers of sustainability, making sustainability
both achievable and accessible to everyone. In 2013, our roots began at Arizona State University as a student-led effort. Since then, we evolved into a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and our impact has expanded across Arizona and into international markets as far as Malawi and Japan. Fast forward to 2023, we teach and implement sustainability through our Student-Led Sustainability Projects, GreenLight Bootcamps, and Sustainability Seminars. Our five year vision includes both the expansion of our current three programs, and spotlights three new programs that are currently in development, including our Green Events Services, The Sustainability Success Source, and Sustainability Reporting Dashboard.
GreenLight Solutions is actively developing our new programs, making the future of sustainability an exciting one - for GreenLight and for all. We are now poised for the next phase of growth that will bring the GreenLight platform to impact more students, businesses, and communities internationally. How We Define “Sustainability”
Sustainability balances the needs of People, Planet, and Profit to mitigate and adapt to today’s climate crisis and protect the needs of current and future generations. Sustainability issues are urgent, complex, and existential. At GreenLight Solutions, we view business as a driver for change and as part of the system that supports the well-being of life on earth. Sustainability in business means risk management, disrupting business models to improve social and environmental outcomes, and operating within a safe operating space for humanity to not only survive, but thrive. Sustainability is modern business.
